OPI Barefoot in Barcelona

OPI Barefoot in Barcelona

Collection: Spain (2009 Fall)

Pinkish-nude taupe crème. This was the first nude crème I ever got, it’s the only one I have! I bought it mainly because I love Barcelona (the city and FC Barcelona), but I’m so glad I got it! It’s pretty unique in my opinion and it doesn’t clash with my skin tone. Note how it looks different in under direct sunlight.

OPI Barefoot in Barcelona

Barefoot in Barcelona applied like butter in two easy coats. So smooth and creamy, not too thick. My loveliest application from OPI to date! I decided to add a holographic accent to spice things up a little.

*Edit* The holographic is from Daiso, from a brand called Rainbow. There is no name for this polish, only the number 03. I suspect the number is wrong as another color from the same brand that is also titled 03. Further checking with other colors at Daiso leads me to conclude that the actual number is 05. So please pardon me for the mistake, sorry!

Please click to enlarge the pictures! Thanks for looking!

The Rainbow 03 polish you used on your ring fingers looks fab! Where did you get it?

Oh, and I've been wanting to try out China Glaze Strong Adhesion base. Is it good? Does it really help the polish to stay on longer compared to other base coats?

I got the polish from Daiso, it's only $2! There are a few colors but the bottle is only 5ml and they're sheer. Stil, you should check it out since you're really into holos (: China Glaze Strong Adhesion base seems to work well with my body chemistry, I usually get around 4-5 days wear, better than Poshe's base coat for me. And it helps prevent staining too!

Hey there!

I'm new to the site, but I too am a nail fiend! I'm still building up my archive, but most of my posts/blogs are nail trends and colors, so of course I'm glad that I found this post! Anyway, my question is actually about the China Glaze adhesive base coat. I've been using the Orly Rubberized Basecoat/bonder. It's okay, but the adhesion isn't as great as I thought it'd be for the tag of 'rubberized'.

Have you noticed a difference with the China Glaze basecoat, compared to applications with a strongly-adhesive basecoat? I'd love to find a base that really anchors the polish in place.

XOXO, BB

Lesh: Hey dear, I'm not sure if I can help you because I've never used Orly Bonder before, so I'm not too sure how it compares to the China Glaze base coat. The CG base coat usually helps polishes to last 4-5 days on me with tip wear but no chips. I heard there's another base coat that creates a rubberized texture called CND Sticky but I haven't tried that either. Perhaps you could consider that as an alternative too?
